I am PURRRRFECT for the job…

 

My name is Cat Snitzer, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I also hold a British Passport, and have lived in the UK full-time for the last ten years. I received my Masters in Media Arts Practice and Philosophy, here at the University, and have gone on to do my PhD in CMS. As I have been at the University for the last 5 years, I have seen all that is right and wrong with the University, AND I would like to use this knowledge to give you the best year EVER!!!

 

In order to achieve that I will do the following:

 

BE CONTACTABLE

Hold weekly ‘Drop-In’ sessions, where you can speak with me about any questions, comments or concerns. Emails will be answered in a quick, efficient, and appropriate manner. If as a student, you have a problem, I will be here to help, no matter how little or large, I will do my best to resolve it.

 

MAKE STUDENTS’ UNION SERVICES MORE ACCESSIBLE

The University has a lot to offer, as an undergrad, you are given this information, as post-graduate and part-time student you are left out of the loop. It is my MISSION to make sure you are better informed of the service the Student Union offers.

 

PLAN SOCIAL EVENTS

Socializing is an important part of university life, and, I will start a social night out, every other month, for grad-students and part-time students to have fun and to meet other post-graduate and part-time students. The social clubs and sports teams will also come talk about what they do, and opportunities they offer for us.

 

BE OUR VOICE

I will represent post-graduate and part-time students, giving everyone a voice. I will take the issues serious and fight for us when necessary. As you representative it is key to work alongside the Student Union and School officials, both of which I have a good relationship with.

 

IMPLEMENT A BETTER WELCOME

As a grad-student it often feels a bit like we are a lone wolf. With students starting at different term times it can be hard to socialize. I will implement a better welcome system to make grad students and part time students feel more involved in the University.
