I believe that a huge part of your student life comes from your student union. I want to make it something that students will remember as part of their amazing experience. Throughout my time at this University I have wanted to make the most of my experience. I joined cheerleading and then became the coach of the squad. I also joined the RAG society and worked for both Bar Latitude and Sparrows Bar. Through being in these roles, I have a great understanding of what the union needs and how it is run. By having a close relationship with current sabbaticals and SU staff whilst coaching cheerleading and being a member of staff, I have developed a greater knowledge for the needs of students and what I can do to improve their experience.
 
ACTIVITIES AT MEDWAY

Over the last year the facilities at Medway haven’t been adapted or changed. I wish to take this into my own hands and make sure that next year the students at Medway receive high-class facilities for all their clubs and societies.
 
TRANSPARENCY AND CONNECTIVITY
My ideal University would be, to have everybody coming together to socialise and partake in events. However, I feel the only people that come together are sports teams. I want to help students feel as though they can be involved even if they’re not part of a sports team or society. I want to put on events that a broad range of people will want to take part in together. I would also like for students to go and watch the teams play their weekly games and to provide a stronger connection/bond between students/players.
 
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
I want to provide a better student union for students in, Avery Hill, Medway and Greenwich. I will look at how I can make the SU a better place to be and will also look at having a connection with clubs and bars in Greenwich, so the Cutty Sark, Macmillan and Daniel Dafoe students have somewhere to go when Bar Latitude closes at the earlier time than sparrows. This will also give students places to go during the week and in between lectures for variation.
 
COMMUNICATION
I want people around campus to be made aware of what is going on and when. I also want students to be able to have a connection with the SU, so they can have a say in what can make it better. Of course students will be in the best position to say what the SU can do to improve. To have their point of view will benefit the student union.
 
FACILITIES
The University lacks facilities for a lot of the societies and sports teams. I will look at what sports team and societies have problems and help them to find new training or meeting facilities. This will then advance our sports and societies profile overall for the University.
